Wendy Tibbetts, CPA, Managing Partner
Wendy Tibbetts, CPA, MBA, is the Founder and Managing Partner of Apex Professionals. With over 25 years of experience in the accounting and finance industry, Wendy has held roles as a CFO, accountant, and financial analyst, in addition to successfully launching and managing two businesses of her own. Her background as both a financial executive and entrepreneur enables her to provide strategic, real-world guidance to business owners looking to grow profitably.
Wendy founded Apex Professionals in February 2020 with the mission of empowering clients to make confident, year-round financial decisions—not just during tax season. She is committed to providing accurate, timely financial insights that help entrepreneurs improve profitability, strengthen operations, and reach their business goals.
A licensed Certified Public Accountant, Wendy holds an MBA and is an active member of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Minnesota Society of CPAs (MNCPA). She is recognized for her strategic thinking, client-first mindset, and dedication to excellence in service. Under her leadership, Apex Professionals has become a trusted partner for business owners seeking proactive financial clarity and long-term success.

Carrie Asher, Controller
Carrie brings over 25 years of diverse experience in the financial services industry to her role at Apex Professionals. As a QuickBooks Elite ProAdvisor, she supports clients with a wide range of accounting and operational needs, combining deep technical knowledge with a strong commitment to client service. Throughout her career, Carrie has held various roles in finance and accounting, giving her a well-rounded perspective and the ability to provide practical solutions that drive results.
At Apex, Carrie works closely with business owners to streamline processes, ensure accurate reporting, and help them stay on track toward their financial goals. Her proactive approach, attention to detail, and dedication to continuous improvement make her a valuable resource to both clients and colleagues.
Outside the office, Carrie enjoys embracing the beauty of all four Minnesota seasons, spending her free time outdoors.

Alicia brings over a decade of hands-on experience in managing general ledger activity, reconciling accounts, preparing month-end reports, and overseeing multi-state payroll processing. She is proficient in platforms such as QuickBooks Online, ADP, and Gusto.
